Tesla’s Q1 2025 earnings report drops tomorrow, and let’s just say… Our Wall Street buddy’s are bracing for impact. The EV giant, once the poster child of futuristic cool, has had a bumpy ride this year—stock down 44%, public opinion shaky, and Elon Musk busier with government ventures than gigafactories.

Here are the top three things people are going to light up (or blow up) this earnings call:

1. Fewer Teslas:

Tesla delivered 336,681 vehicles this past quarter, which might sound impressive… until you realize the forecast was closer to 380,000. That’s a 13% drop from last year and a big ol’ “yikes” for investors. Analysts call it a “Code Red” moment—basically, Tesla’s demand problem isn’t a temporary cold; it’s starting to feel like long COVID. People want fresh models and fewer Musk controversies.

2. Margin Squeeze:

To lure buyers back, Tesla pulled out the pricing hacks—But with great discounts comes… terrible margins. Barclays thinks profit margins could dip as low as 10-11%, compared to 13.6% last quarter. So yeah, Elon might be selling cars, but he’s doing it with a discount coupon and a prayer.

3. Elon, Come Home?

Let’s be real: when your CEO is more focused on a government role literally called the “Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE),” people start wondering if the wheel’s still on the road. Musk’s extracurriculars—and resulting backlash—have even led to Tesla owners getting their cars vandalized. Investors want the science guy back, not the meme lord-in-chief.

Bottom Line: our friends are interssted.

Tesla’s Q1 report will either be a much-needed jolt or another round of investor side-eye. With demand in decline, profits under pressure, and leadership chasing side quests, tomorrow’s call might feel less like an earnings report and more like a dramatic season finale. Stay plugged in.

Stay tuned.
