Skattebo waited 104 names to hear his called. No cries for collusion, but the New York Football Giants really do have a knack for picking running backs.

While everyone was busy live-tweeting outfits and botching names at the 2025 NFL Draft, the New York Giants quietly pulled off a heist. With the 104th pick in the fourth round, they drafted Arizona State’s powerhouse running back Cameron Skattebo — aka the sleeper pick of the century.
Seriously. If you watched the Big 12 Championship (you know, actual football, not draft “analysis”), you saw Skattebo in action.
Yet somehow, Skattebo waited 103 names to hear his called.

Skattebo: 1,258 rush yards, 14 TDs, 22 catches, and an entire highlight reel of broken ankles.
So why the fourth round? No, it’s not a racial conspiracy. Skattebo steps into a sneaky-good Giants offense with mentorship from Russell Wilson and a franchise that knows a thing or two about finding generational running backs. See: Tiki Barber. See: Saquon Barkley. See: please don’t let Skattebo go to a division rival.
Upside? Skattebo’s a three-down back who can smash, slash, catch, and most importantly, compete. Behind a rebuilt O-line and with defenses worrying about Wilson’s play-action, Skattebo could easily be the biggest draft-day steal since Alvin Kamara’s third-round miracle.
If you didn’t know the name Cameron Skattebo before today, you will soon. And Giants fans? Let’s treat this one right. No more Saquon-sized mistakes. Protect Skattebo at all costs.
