June 2025 isn’t just about blockbusters and binge-worthy shows—it’s also a high-octane month for music lovers. From arena tours and debut albums to cinematic premieres and long-awaited drops, the industry is booming with fresh energy and surprise moves. Let’s break down the biggest soundwaves making noise this month:

Lil Wayne launched the sixth installment of his legendary Tha Carter series on June 6, titled Tha Carter VI. The album blends vintage Wayne wordplay with modern trap polish and features guest appearances from Travis Scott and Baby Keem. He kicked off his nationwide tour that same night at Madison Square Garden, reminding everyone why he’s still one of the GOATs of rap.

Addison Rae, the TikTok star-turned-pop artist, also chose June 6 to drop her long-awaited debut album, Addison. It’s a glittery, hyperpop-infused record full of synthy heartbreaks and dancefloor confessions. With a fanbase that spans social media and Gen Z streaming charts, Rae is proving she’s more than just a viral moment.

Dua Lipa is in the middle of her Radical Optimism world tour, captivating global audiences with high-energy visuals and slick choreography. With massive stadium shows booked at London’s Wembley Stadium and Liverpool’s Anfield this month, she’s solidifying her position as a powerhouse of pop. The setlist blends old hits with fresh material off her third album, showcasing her evolution as both a performer and a cultural icon.

Miley Cyrus returned with Something Beautiful, a musical film that premiered June 6 at the Tribeca Festival. The film complements her recent album, exploring themes of growth, reinvention, and generational vulnerability. Miley’s dual role as both director and performer offers a rare, cinematic view into her artistry.

Meanwhile, Glennchy’s release of “Regardless” is his fourth single in four months — a monthly streak ahead of his debut album, “CHY” dropping later this year. His newest track blends R&B, lo-fi production, and storytelling — but his catalog is multi-genre’d. Stay tuned next month.

Also making waves, GASHI is dropping a new full-length rap album “The Killah Whales of Gotham” behind Orca Sound Records— featuring production and engineering by Dom Casella and DeVo RaW. Blending global rhythms, hip-hop melodies, and introspective lyrics, classic NYC sound is what GASHI has been about for a long time. Definitely a must-listen to end June.

Lastly, one of the anthems this summer: Holy Moe’s new single “Hol’on” is setting summer 25’ off right. As soon as you turn it on: wait… Hol’On!!!!!!! Holy will always hold it down.

From MSG to Tribeca to TikTok and beyond, June’s music landscape is one of the richest and most diverse in years—and we’re only halfway through. Enjoy, music fans!
